The History of McIntosh Engineering
Bryant and Bill McIntosh founded McIntosh Brothers Engineering back in 1951 in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Starting as a small engineering and repair workshop, they worked on all types of equipment throughout the Manawatu region and quickly gained a reputation for: if they made it, they would repair it!
Both Bill and Bryant saw an opportunity that many farmers needed more advance and dependable farming equipment, so McIntosh Farm machinery was started. Over the years they continued to develop and engineer machinery, which quickly lead them to become the market innovator for machinery specializing in fodder feed out equipment.
Strength, quality and durability have always been their core values when making every one of their machines that bear their name.
Now these family traditions continue with Bill McIntosh still has a role at the business, with his sons Brett and Craig and grandson Scott, all a major part of today’s business.
Back in 1989, TracMac Farm Services in Gippsland, were appointed the importers and dealers for the McIntosh products into Australia. Closely working together the businesses have continued to develop create award winning products to suit both Australian and New Zealand farming conditions.
Today many satisfied customers from both sides of the Tasman Sea are enjoying the features, benefits and reliability of owning a McIntosh machine.
